Introduction to Biomedical Convergence

The purpose of this course is to cultivate the knowledge and qualities of a practitioner specialist in a mixed - municipal city. The class involves lectures and discussions from experts in the life sciences field. The theme is on domestic and overseas issues in addition to strategies for bio-engineering, disease management, biotechnology, bio-medicine, and technology management.

Introduction to Biomedical Science Statistics

Inductive research through experimentation (observation) and research in all areas require statistics. A person living in today’s society needs reliable information to make scientific and rational decisions. However, in order to achieve this goal, it is necessary to understand the correct statistical analysis methods and techniques based on statistical theory. The basic concepts of statistics must be understood to explain the results after statistical analysis.

Health Promotion and Disease Management

Students learn health promotion strategies at the community and national levels as well as personal lifestyle changes that can prevent diseases. This course aims to teach the patterns of diseases that appear in Korea and the approaches for early detection, early treatment, follow up, rehabilitation, and recovery.

Epidemiology for Infectious and Chronic Diseases

This class goes over the fundamental epidemiological concepts and research methods in life sciences research and helps develop the ability to apply them to practice.

Studies on Health Care Policy

Medical policy theory is a field of study that analyzes the impact of political dynamics in related parties like government, parliament, health care providers, and insurance companies for health care policy. This covers various fields, such as the payment system, medical delivery system, and medical quality. The main purpose of the policy is to understand politics.


This course introduces bioinformatics and the bioinformatics process with big data. The techniques and theories are taught so students can utilize data analysis in bioinformatics. In addition, we will identify recent research trends and conduct various case studies for Big Bi data analysis.

Biomedical Research Methodology

Biomedical Research Methodology covers the main causes of disease, diagnosis, treatment, and prognosis in order to understand the fundamental framework of epidemiologic concepts and research methods and to develop the ability to apply them to practice.

Information of Retrieval to Biomedical

This course explores the principles of global search systems handling information in a vast amount of documents by evaluating the web search system, learning how it expresses and stores information, and introducing the mass search system. The class also helps students effectively visualize information and utilize appropriate visualization techniques.

Biomedical Engineering

The non-invasive medical devices used in medical diagnostics are introduced along with the applications to mobile healthcare.

Smart Healthcare Systems

The Smart Healthcare Systems class introduces basic concepts of the smart healthcare system, body area network technology, mobile healthcare, medical applications of the smart device, and the medical smartphone app.

Special Topics in Biomedical Technology I

New pharmaceuticals in the pharmaceutical industry can be divided into chemical-based drugs and bio-based drugs. This course provides theoretical learning about the characteristics of bio-based drugs.

Special Topics in Biomedical Technology II

The biopharmaceutical industry has industrial characteristics with various business models and stakeholders. This course examines the types and characteristics of diverse businesses in the biopharmaceutical industry with the methods and growth strategies of biopharmaceutical companies.

Special Topics in Biomedical Technology III

Special Topics in Biochemistry III teaches various cases in the field based on Biochemistry I and II to search for the technical direction and institutional improvement of biopharmaceuticals.

Biomedical Science Substance Patent

This course shows how to maximize the value of bio-scientific materials by understanding the patent procedures of pharmaceuticals, functional foods, cosmetics, and diagnostic reagents.

Biomedical Big Database

This course introduces the basics of life-scale database and database modeling methods. Furthermore, there are hands-on exercises on database building and manipulation techniques. External experts are also invited to teach how to use biomedical technologies in the real world.

Data Mining to Biomedical

The main purpose of this course is to study the concepts of mining and mining techniques and learn how to use them in practical applications. In order to achieve this goal, we
1) study various techniques for mining, such as association, classification, prediction, and clustering by refining related data from a large volume of life data 2) learn how to apply mining techniques to various applications, and 3) learn how to use the mining tools to apply interest data and use results.
