What is a PSM?

PSM-Professional Master (PSM-Professional Master) is a specialist in science and technology who combines basic science and engineering with business administration.

Is the PSM a recognized degree anywhere in the world?

The PSM was first introduced in the United States in 1997 and since then, 256 courses have been offered at 119 universities in the US, Canada, and the UK. In Korea, the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology (now the Ministry of the Future Creation Science) and the R & D Special Zone Promotion Foundation have been introduced since the 'Science-Business Convergence Expert (PSM) Training' project to activate the science belt business. Is a master's course.

Is the PSM a Master of Science (Engineering) or a Master of Business Administration? 

The PSM provides students with a bachelor's degree in science and technology with a knowledge of science and management convergence. Therefore, you will receive a "Master of Science in Business Administration" degree covering both science (engineering) and business administration. In other words, there are more opportunities for graduates in their future career. 

What kind of PSM program is available at Chung University ? 

Our graduate program offer courses to advance knowledge in biomedical science and to gain understanding of how biomedical science markets work. Through internships opportunities and capstone project courses we offer, we encourage our students to become entrepreneurs and hands-on experience to develop a new product or service. What kind of field can I enter when I graduate?

 PSM seems to be able to enter into various fields such as R & D, R & D planning and management.

How much are the tuition and scholarships?

The scholarship will be supported by the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology (now the Ministry of the Future Creation Science) and the R & D Special Zone Promotion Foundation.

Are there any other benefits other than scholarships? 

The PSM program at Chungbuk National University can benefit from scholarship, domestic and overseas internship support, global PSM graduate exchange student opportunities, and industry / research institute-based on-the-job training.

I am currently in a job and can I go on to the PSM 

The PSM program at Chungbuk National University is available for full-time and part-time students. A full-time student is a person who is not a student of 4 major insurance companies and who is working full-time in his / her studies. Part-time worker is a person who is enrolled in a graduate school.  

How do I qualify to apply?

A bachelor's degree (expected) or equivalent academic credential.

What is the method of selection?

How is the class going?

Full-time classes are held on weekdays (Monday to Friday), and classes are held on weekdays at night and on Saturdays.

How many final credits should I take?   

A total of 36 credits must be completed for two years of study, two semesters for two years, and two credits for each major (21 credits, 7 courses) plus management and commercialization credits (15 credits, 5 courses).

What is the graduation requirement?  

Minimum number of credits required for graduation (36 credits) and full-time student internship and capstone projects are required for graduation. In the case of a partial, internship is not required.
